You might have discovered that there are over 100 EMDR basic training providers. Many advertise training that is approved by the EMDR International Association (www.emdria.org). Most are 2-3 weekends and they are approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) . That means that if you take an approved training, you have completed one of the requirements to be certified by EMDRIA as an EMDR clinician. The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy has been training EMDR therapists for 25+ years. And our prior training in psychodynamic, gestalt, somatic, and cognitive therapies is integrated into our training program.
